Responsible Employee
Length: 45-60 minutes
Participants will learn how to be a responsible employee at Baylor University. This training includes an understanding of the prohibited conducts, who is considered a mandated reporter, how to report to the Equity Office, and how to offer support.
Responsible Student-Employee
Length: 45-60 minutes
Participants will learn how to be a responsible student-employee at Baylor University. This training includes an understanding of Baylor's Civil Rights Policy, prohibited conduct, how to report to the Equity office.
Civil Rights at Baylor University for Students
Length: 45-60 minutes
Participants will learn the Baylor Civil Rights policy, how to report, what resources are offered, and their options. Training can be combined with Title IX information.
Microaggressions and Biases (Student Training)
Length: 60-90 minutes
Learning Objectives for this training include:

Participants will learn the definition of microaggressions and the different types of microaggressions.

Participants will gain an understanding of implicit and explicit bias

Participants will learn the short and long-term effects of microaggressions and bias.

Participants will explore ways to counteract microaggression on an individual and societal level.
Identity and Intersectionality (Student Training)
Length: 45-60 minutes

Participants will better understand how social constructs normalize some identities over others

Participants will build community and be encouraged to use empathy when sharing their identities with other participants
Bystander Intervention 101 (Student Training)
Length: 45-50 minutes

Understand the history of bystander intervention and its importance today

Determine appropriate bystander intervention strategies to use in a variety of scenarios

Reenact bystander intervention situations
Intersectionality of Cultural Humility and Identity (Faculty/Staff Training)

If You’re Breathing, You’re Biased (Faculty/Staff Training)
Length: 60-90 minutes
In this workshop, we take a look at defining bias, identifying personal and potential biases, and discussing the effects of biases in the workplace as well as within the Baylor community.
What is Adaptable Resolution? Exploring Resolution Options
Length: 20-30 minutes
Participants will learn about options available under the Civil Rights and Sexual and Interpersonal Misconduct (SIM) policies, focusing particularly on the Adaptable Resolution process.
Customized Training
Upon request, Equity Office Staff can design and facilitate a workshop customized to meet the needs of the participants. Themes of education can include but are not limited to understanding unconscious bias, microaggressions, and how to support others. Please be aware training must be requested two weeks before the event date.
